Hyvän mielen Heinola. Mielenterveys ja hyvinvointi 2020-kunnassa

Vuodesta 2016 on mielenterveysongelmat olleet suurin syy työstä poissaolojen määrälle.

Samaan aikaan tiedetään, että Suomessa n. 900.000 ihmistä on Kelan korvaamien mielenterveyslääkkeiden piirissä.

Vuosittain mielenterveyden ongelmien aiheuttamien kustannusten määräksi on arvioitu n. 11MrdEUR ja työssäpoissaolojen kustannuksiksi n. 2.6 MrdEUR.

05.09.2021 asiaa tarkasteltiin myös Yle:n asiasohjelmassa. Linkki

Aihe puhuttaa paljon, mutta missä on ratkaisut. Ratkaisu ei ole mahdollinen mikäli juurisyyt eivät ole tiedossa. Tarvitaan myös osaamista ja rohkeutta edistää asiaa.

Positiivinen mielenterveys, resilienssi jne. ovat oleet suosittuja sanaparsia nyt 2020-luvulla. Kuitenkin tilastot edelleen synkkenevät.

Asiaan vaikuttaa varmasti ympäristö missä elämme ja toisaalta yksilötasolla voimme vaikuttaa omalta osaltamme asiaan. Viimeisen 10-vuoden aikana on asioista alettu jo puhua avoimemmin.

Digitalisaatio on yleistynyt voimakkaasti viimeisen 20-vuoden aikana. 1990-luvulla kuuntelin haastattelua , missä asiantuntijalta kysyttiin mitä tapahtuu ihmiselle jos ihminen koittaa ajatella digiaalisesti. Asiantuntijan vastaus oli, että ihminen sekoaa. Vaarallisen kuuloista mutta voisiko tässä olla myös osatotuus.

Ihmisen ajattelutapa on analyyttinen. Digitaalisuudessa taas ominaista on , että erilaisia toimenpiteitä (transaktioita) voidaan sijoitealla mielivaltaiseeen järjestykseen ilman sen kummempaa merkitystä. Linkki

Ihmisen motivaatio yleensä kuitenkin perustuu siihen, että ihminen saavuttaa jotain, tähtää johonkin ja kokee merkityksellisyyttä.

Voisimmeko ajatella , että Heinola tunnettaisiin Hyvän Mielen Heinola sloganista.

Kuntatasolla näkisin että näihin asioihin tulisi kiinnittää huomiota avoimuudella ja asioista ääneen puhumalla ja pitämällä aihe esillä. Mieli ry on kehittänyt Hyvän Mielen Työpaikka-Merkin .

Oma vaikutusmahdollisuus on toki ensisijaisesti pyrkiä huolehtimaan omista perustarpeista. Riittävä lepo, ravinto jne. niissä raameissa kun siihen on mahdollisuus. Useissa tutkimuksissa on myös tuotu esille sosiaalisessa mediassa vietettävän ajan merkitys ihmisen hyvinvointiin. Linkki

Vapaaehtoistyö tarjoaa mahdollisuuden auttaa muita kansaeläjiä.

Olen toiminut itse vapaaehtoisena 4-vuotta puheenjohtajana 2016-2020, nyt myöhemmin vain rivijäsenenä https://www.finfamipaijathame.fi/ yhdistyksessä. Finfami ry tarjoaa tukea mielenterveyspotilaiden läheisille monissa eri muodoissa. Keskeisinä tavoitteena on löytää apua tarvitseva ajoissa ja poistaa stigmaa aiheen ympäriltä.

Kuten edellä kuvasin, n. 900 000 ihmistä käyttää Kelan korvaamia mielenterveyslääkkeitä, eli varmasti myös omaisia/ läheisiä on varmasti ainakin samanverran. Kuitenkin suuri haaste on, löytää nämä omaiset siinä vaiheessa kun apu olisi tehokkaimmillaan , eli shokki vaiheessa kun tilanne läheisille paljastuu. Usein omainen kokee että hän on tilanteessa yksin ja pahimmillaan aiheesta voi kehkeytyä ns. perhesalaisuus. Tutkimusten mukaan 50% väestöstä kohtaa jossain kohtaa läheisellään vastaavan tilanteen.

Pahinta on, että ilman apua n. 50% aikuisomaisista on vaarassa sairastua. Lapsiomaisista sairastavuus on vieläkin korkeampi n. 75%.
